I just got my Z 2 weeks ago and it's freaking cold here in Chicago so I haven't had time to check out my car in detail.

I'm planning to change out the amber side reflectors to clear. And I will mod the clear reflectors with blue led strips to turn on with parking lights.

My question is - Are there any bulbs inside the reflectors? Or they're just plain reflectors?

other lighting mods to come:

1. Replace parking light to white led2. Upgrade OEM HID bulbs to 6000K3. Replace license plate light to white led4. Replace front turning light bulbs to clear chrome.5. Replace interior lights to blue led

There just plain reflectors. No lights under them

Hey man for your bulb swaps go with PIAA. I replaced my license plate, dome, and reverse lights. I can actually see backing up with my tint now!

yeah man, it was freaking cold here last 2 days..

as cold as -20 degF with -50 degF wind chill...

today's about 20 degF, so I decided to take my Z for a car wash because of all the salt...the Z barely moved 10 feet and couldn't move anymore in the snow..... I spent like 10 minutes try to move the Z back to the parking space and called it a day...

I have a Ford E150 van for work w/ RWD, but not too bad in snow....

*** This is misinformation that could cost our fellow members money, please stop posting what you think you know versus what you know. This post is the exact reason why many of here get irritated with your posts. The 03-05 reflectors are different from 06-08....dude they have that information in Ebay...your favorite site....this one is for you*

...I really don't pick on you, think of it as creative criticism.

The main difference is the surface area of the new reflectors to acomodate the redesigned front fascia. The 03-05 (A) also had reflectors on the headlights too. When they redisigned the Z in 06 the increased reflector area eliminated the need to have the ugly orange strip from the factory on the headlights (B).

a.
