I see the half amber/half clear signals have one connector and 2 bulbs, but how do they light up? Do they light up with the headlights, but only the amber part blinks? Ive always liked them, but never knew exactly how they worked.

I found my half amber lights on ebay, but they didn't come with bulbs or connectors, just the housing. I used the stock bulb in the amber section, and then bought new sockets and bulbs for the clear part of the lens. Then I spliced the clear bulb into the on/off wire, but not the blinking wire. This makes them both on when I turn my lights on, but only the amber blinks. However, I think this is not "JDM correct" since I saw a car that had only the clear light on with the lights on, and the amber light was just for blinking. This can be done by cutting the on/off wire and wiring it directly to the clear bulb. I like having both amber and clear on anyway...

Hope that makes sense.. Basically, if you wire them yourself, you can do whatever you want with them, provided you know what wire does what..

Cheers,

C

hmm...so with the regular JDM ones, the clear part stays on, and the amber only blinks when needed?

I found them for $30/per side with everything needed except the bulbs. I dont see why people like jspec.com charges $130 + shipping.

courtesyparts.com http://www.courtesyparts.com/M...-RS13

scroll down to the bottom for the otherside. That is the whole assembly right? minus the bulb...

EDIT: Maybe I better hurry up and order a pair before people starts buying them up and the price raises ...I would have thought this would have been a pretty easy to find link/place to buy.

I guess I got lucky to find that link then. I ordered some timing chain parts last night, then a little bit later I decided I'd better go ahead and order them since the link has been semi-exposed.

So this morning I called them and had them added to my order, and hopefully they'll add them in my order without additional shipping charges.

That blew my mind to see jspec charging $130 Thats like 100% profit.

It looks like you can use an extra sidemarker socket for the other one? You can just check the size once you get it, but seems like that (makes sense since the white part functions basically like a sidemarker - except in the front - so frontmarker) .

Its about damn time someone did something for the 89-90. The 91-94 models have almost everything available, off-brand and otherwise.

I had to work yesterday as well as it rained. So what exactly do you do? Unscrew the screws and pull it out? I havent exactly had a reason to mess with them until now.
