AM Radio INOP

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

My AM radio is only delivering static. All other Radio features including FM, XM, CD and Music Box function correctly.
Anybody have any suggestions?
I am covered under the Warranty so I can have the dealer take a look and fix it but I'd rather not if it's something I can reset myself.
Thanks, Dr Suess

Might check your antenna. I believe AM radio relies more on receiving signals through the antenna then does FM and satellite.

All radio frequencies are picked up via an antenna. Each type has its own but they are all integrated on the EX.

The GPS antenna is in the front under (or very near) the center speaker.

Check the stubby little antenna on the roof and make sure it is tight.

I had the radio repaired today by the dealer.
They found "Failed Satellite Antenna" replaced Antenna Assy. 28208-1BA2A

Thanks for the replies, Doc
