I have an 08 2.5 Coupe, so far the only thing i have done is upgrade the audio system, which i am more than happy with. For some reason i cant shake the feeling of un-satisfaction. :squint: I don't like how the 08 looks, mainly the front. It is just not aggressive enough for me. Iv toyed with the idea of getting a body kit, i really like stillens front but i just cant decide if its really worth it or not. It will never be a "fast" car, even though i fully intend on installing stillens axel back exhaust and high-flow intake to make it at least sound like a fast car :chuckle: :chuckle: . My question is am i really just wasting good money after bad wishing i could get the looks out of it that i want? Also if anyone has installed body kits i would love to see them :D and hear about any problems or tips about them!

Layzer.

I have been asking that question to myself for the last six months. I have an '08 2.5. I rarely ever drive it because I have a company vehicle. When I do drive it, I enjoy it. It's a fun car to drive especially in manual mode. I have gotten several compliments on the vehicle which surprises me since it's completely stock other than tint. I feel it's a somewhat rare model in my area. I see lots of 4 doors but rarely do I ever spot another coupe.

I haven't done anything to mine because I am so indecisive on if I want to spend the time and money on it. I recently got a rather large raise and more than likely will trade it off for more of a performance vehicle like a 350z or 370z.

It all comes down to you and your budget. You can certainly make the car look amazing cosmetically. Take a look around on the forums....some of these guy's cars are absolutely incredible looking. If you do it right 90% of people out there are going to be fooled by it. It will look fast and sound fast, just don't try to drop a BRZ off the line ;-)

But if you are wanting pure performance, you might want to invest the money you would spend on doing the few performance upgrades available for a 2.5 on a little bit higher car payment and get into the 3.5 or something in the Z line.

Hope this helps!!!

The main thing to keep in mind when modding almost any car is that you will never get the money you spent back out of the car when you sell or trade it. Most dealers don't even want modded cars because a modded car appeals to a very small group of potential used car buyers. But hey, in the end, it's your money and your car so if it makes you happy mod it to the max and then drive it until the wheels fall off. ;)

True^

I got my car a month before I turned 16 (I'm 18 now) and I spent all my hard earned money doing mods. I'm not satisfied in the performance, but it was free and I'll drive it till it dies or maybe after college? But I really like getting looks and compliments all the time :chuckle:

I myself have a 2012 2.5s MT AC which I have already for sale here but as far as modding, i truly want to know does it give that boost or come pretty close to a stock 3.5 AC? I'm still fairly new in these boards but also, I posted on uprev reviews thread, which has a lot of positive feedback on it. I would like to get my 2.5s to come close or on par with a stock 3.5 in terms of acceleration.
