hey well im here sitting wondering why my motor acts up like a kid when he sees a monster, this time its night a monster but an air filter when i place an air filter on my car it runs weird like all laggy and like it has no power but when it gets to 3000 it screams and crazy boost kicks in . witout the airfilter it runs like a virgin clean and subtle, so im wondering is there any one else this may be happening to or am i the only one ? what did you do in your scenario?

stock or aftermarket air filter? and is it an oiled filter?

can you give a little more info on it? and have you tried a different filter? oiled filters have been known to mess with the MAF.

when you mean by oil what is it ? i know this sounds dumb to ask but its the inly way i can learn more .. i was thinking can it be an vacuum leak

some aftermarket filters are coated in an oil product and when ur breathing through it, ur sucking oil onto ur MAF and ruining it. get a new air filter and try that out.
