Rapidly changing electric currents running through electronic equipments radiate electromagnetic waves and just as changing electric currents radiate radio waves, radio waves induce electric currents. The ikey continuously receives radio waves, so if it is left near a cell phone, TV, laptop, etc. they will shorten the battery life.headhunt3r wrote:

That was fixed as of the end of 2007 - the new keys don't have the issue with the cell phone programming issue.Hussain wrote:

i haven't had any issues with mine yet.... for the pass month the light has been coming on when i start the car telling me my key is getting low but i still haven't changed the battery lol had the car for a lil over 17 months too
