I was going outside today to mess with my block, when I noticed that a piece was broken off the front. The thing is I have no idea what this piece is or does. Will I be safe without it? How can I replace it?

Here is a picture of the piece

Here is where it connected too, near the timing chain:

Picture of a oil hole that connects to it??

What can I do about this piece? Will I be safe without it?? What is it and what does it do??

Is that a DE or E, if it's an DE it looks like a Oil squirter. If it's an E I have no idea heh.

Chain oiler, you need it.

You need to get the remainder of the oiler removed from the block and a new part installed.

Dealers have the part, but you will have to look at the microfiche to find the part number. Might be a small run around at the dealer anyways.

They will have it, shouldnt cost much.

Machinist can fix it up no problem btw.
