On another forum, someone posted a pic of a R35 Skyline. Another person posted saying that it looks like a G35. Another person started to say that the G35 IS NOT the skyline and told the other guy to "read before you speak". I then posted that the G35 is the same as the R35. Then that person started to biatch at me. So my question is, isn't the G35 and R35 the same? since both push 280 using the same VQ35DE?

Yes the G35 is the Skyline. I got owned on this a month or so ago, on these very boards. I was very ashamed at my lack of knowledge on the matter.

what really sucks is that we finally get the Skyline in America but it doesn't even look as cool as the R32,33, or 34. They probably did it intentionally. Nissan said they want to use a v6 engine for the Skyline because the inline 6 lose more power than the v block setup.

Could be a 4cyl. model like the d30 skyline. Not saying I wouldn't like a d30.

Skyline V35 = Infiniti G35

R35 is GTR concept.http://www.geocities.com/bradb...a.htm

Introduced on June 15th, 2001, the Skyline V35 series marks a radical step away from previous Skylines with extensive changes in the design and engineering departments. The new car is available in four versions: 300 GT, 250 GT, 250 GT Four and 250 Gte, with the 250GTe being the least expensive model and the 300GT marking the top of the line. Nissan finally plans to bring the Skyline to international markets, where it is to compete against the Lexus IS 300, BMW 3-Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class primarily in the form of the Infiniti G35. http://www.infinitig35.net/Sedans/Specs/

http://www.webwombat.com.au/mo...s.htm People mistakenly call the latest "Skyline" iteration to be the successor in model designation...R32 R33 R34 R35, BUT, the forthcoming GTR will carry the R35 designation. NOT the present Skyline(V35), or it's American counterpart, Infiniti G35.
