I GOT MY 240SX IT HAS SIMPLY KA24E AND WENT I GOT IT HAD LIL UNDER 100,000.BUT NOW IT HAS 101,000.I PUT IN A INTAKE AND MUSIC SYSTEM SOME THING SMALL FOR LESS WEIGHT I GOIN TO TAKE OUT THE BACK SEATS AND CARPET.I KNOW JUST LIL WAT TO DO TO IT BUT I ONLY THING IS THAT IT NOT A 5 SPEED.AND THAT REALLY BLOWS.BUT I THINK BOUT SWAPIN TRANS.I TRYIN TO GET HEADERS,DOWN PIPE,,AND CAT BACK, TEIN COIL OVER BY THIS SUMMER.AND I HELP GETIN SOME MORE PARTS AT A GOOD PRICE.AND TO PUT THEM IN TOO IM LOOKIN TO SPEND LIKE 5,000-6,000.CUZ IF I HAD I CIVIC OR A GRS INTGERG I WOULD PUT IN LIKE $100 THEN BURN IT.I GOT THIS CAR IT OUT RUNS MOST OF THE CIVIC AND GRS.AND MY CAR STOCK AND AROUND MY WAY.IT MY FIRST CAR PAID I 1200 SOME NEED JUST LIL PUSH TO GET START ON MY PROJECT 240SX THANKZ

Thank for making fun me *** face.I did get to a frender brender like 2 months back.i been driving for that 2 yrs and i dont drive like some fuking yahoo in a weak civic think im bad a with just a intake.and i forget to take off the cap sometimes sorry.plus i know my grammar is **** please dont remind me.and iam not from a other forum ok .if i was i would ask how to turn on 240sx and how such i park it

1. Music systems do not make you faster they add weight2. Its "Header" Only 13. No Down pipe if no turbo Vin Diesel4. Learn to drive Automatic before you learn stick Fender Bender6. I would love to see you out run a GSR stock to stock.5. "Search"

GSR will kill a stock 240 hands down. Especially an auto. lol. My friend has a 92 GS integra and it kills my car. And all he's done is intake, and removed the int. behind the front seats. AND HIS CAR HAS 265k ORIGIONAL MILES!!

My car is stock 5sp S13 and all I've done is strut bars, and full tune up with NGK plugs +wires. My car has 145k on it. Neither car has been rebuilt and both were babied before we got them. We are both equally good drivers, I get him out of the hole, but then he pulls on me in 2nd, I catch in 3rd, and we are dead equall through 4th and 5th. He always ends up 1 length ahead of me.

As for helping you out. GET A 5sp!! Auto will always suck no matter what you've done to your car. After that, then do suspension and LSD, then wieght reduction, then add power.

FYI, Exhaust and intake don't really do very much at all for a N/A car.

Actually an exhaust (a good one that's been designed well) and a simple air filter can make worlds of difference. The dyno chart that always seems to come into play is Alex of 5zigen's Proracer run with just an aem filter and the exhaust, providing extra hp throughout the entire power band and peaking out at 17hp+ at the wheels. Just keep in mind though, that not all intakes/exhausts will provide that kind of increase in power.

LOL, typical nico welcome. Well, I don't know if that's some magical 240 but I know for sure that when I still have my ka24de, I could barely pull on honda's with D16's, well maintained ones anyway.

You say that honda owners are cocky with their intakes but it sounds like you are in the same boat. You don't have to like them, but don't be one of them, especially with a 240sx.

To be helpful, the cheapest place you'll find any kind of parts for the 240 is on ebay. Type in 240sx for search criteria and you'll have over 100 pages of parts. You got a pretty clean S13, try to keep it that way, S13's are going the way of the dinosaurs because of wreckless owners - don't know if that's a good thing or bad. Anyway, this is the typical nico welcome so don't start swearing.

ok thats why i did get a big music system just a amp,1sub and thats all im putting.i put in a air filter and i try to get a header by the end on this month i hope?? should i get cat back exhaust and what size u think would fit nice.and have raced with a friend or two,i raced with accord that had a on the highway went i got the car like that same week then i raced a sum neon there and it was not a srt4 but it was real tight run i only won the accord.i would had not even try but it was hard to run cuz of the traffic in. brooklyn is a nitemaire for rims there pot holes every were u look and i not lying in manhattan driving there u be with out bodykit no joke man

Search the 240 section for "Catback"You probably wanna get exhaust before a header....

Also we generaly look down on street racing round here...Sure we all may engage in some spirited driving from time to time but trying to straight out race on the street is sure to get you made fun of around here. Just a heads up.

they mensioned earlier that the cheapest parts are on ebay...but be carefull what you get from their...If its not a reputable name, that you can verify is legit (not counterfit) then I would be weary....If its a critical part, such as suspension, or seats/harnesses (wheels to some extent too) I would just skip it and save up for something you dont have to gamble your life on...

my car is a lil babied that just the way i like it cuz that dent that it has just make me sick looking at and not washing my car makes look more bad and.ok it just im used to being around civic guy's so **** like stick too you.but those grs and civic are quick u can give them just that maybe and the accord raced was on the highway and my car run at 2500,3000rpm at 50to60mph before the car hit overdrive it self but i try to leave it off but at 75mph it just goes on.i l feel it slow me down little fuking a/t it sucks.so just pushing the gas has a better pick that accord's. but the accord was not far at all maybe like 1/2 a car lenght less back.i was goin like 115mph,that when he start to slow down.but i dont like push the car power not just yet!!and ebay is where i gettin some of the parts from thankz man talk lata

But in reality dude. If you want suggestions from us, you need to let us know what your final goals are. If you want to turbo, start saving up now and quit buying parts you'll only be selling later on.

Put your back seats back in, as well as your carpeting, you're not saving any weight. You're not improving you times at all - your just ridding yourself of some extra comfort back there.

My suggestion to you:

Forget about power right now.

5 SPD swap should be near the top of your list

Upgrading\updating\replacing tired and worn out suspension parts

Intake, header, and exhaust will only take you so far, you will not be out running your friends in heh..Accords or GSR's with minimal mods.

Do the first things on that check list and check back in. Otherwise do whatever you want.

i was looking at sum coilover kit on ebay.they have some brand there jdm but i know if they any good the wrong find can be my life there.but if i was to get a full damper kit it would be tein that wouldn't be hard to pick

i just hate those grs and civic as the hate the a 240sx could if set up right way.even with mods it all how u setup your car to run

1. Hit up all the credit card companies that will give you a line of credit2. Spend lots of time using the search button in this forum3. only listen to people who have actually done stuff to their cars (not just heard about it)4. Don't do anything half assed or on a whim5. If you are planning on getting a cat back as one of your first mods, Go 3 inch. I made the mistake of 2.5 thinking I'll never go turbo or get a SR... what happens exactly next? I got a SR. Now, I'm stuck with a 2.5 inch on my 240.

As for suspension... I like my Tein Type Flex, ok for track and great on the streets.

Just stay away from street racing. All fun till someone gets hurt or you total your car.
