Hi Nico, I'm new, but I've been browsing here for a while now. Well I have a S13 SR20det front clip, and the guy I took it too wants $2500 for install. I'm thinking that is expensive for just an install. He said he was throwing in, a clutch, clutch lines, and i think a new timing chain. Is this an expensive price for an install with those parts? please help me out.

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP OOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFF...do you even need a clutch..doesnt even matter thats a rip off because for one you dont need a new timing chain im sure and two he will probably give you a stock clutch and three he probably wont even put in all that stuff cuz you probably dont need it..he is probably just telling you he is putting it in to get your money where as he is really screwing you over

wait... so you already have the clip, and the dude's charging you $2500 for installation!!

ouch...

most shops around socal charge $2500 for everything (motorset included). Usually, a labor for a motor swap is around $500-800 depending on who you go to.

ya they know what they are doing..they know that they are BULLSHATTING NOOBIES and they know they are doing it good..they are doing it just like this..."Hello how are you doing today noob..oh you want an sr installed? ok well guess what..i've never seen your sr before but i'll tell you what..you need a new clutch, clutch lines and timing chain and i know this even though ive never laid eyes on your engine before or heard one word about it..so bring it in and we'll swap it and put those brand new parts in for 2500 dollars" ...then the customer leaves with that SR of his in his S chassis thinking he got a good deal because he got those new things when in reality the guy never even took the transmission off or front cover and valve cover to replace that stuff..thats how it goes down ...like my storytelling?
