Hi, I just picked up a 2008 A/C 2.5s and found invaluable info from the oem DD kit to the big 3 on here. I'm trying to get a little help with setting up a audio system from people that probally know more than me.

I'm installing a new system and this is what i got so far....
Pioneer Avic-z140bh
(2) JL Audio 103v3-4's with a JL Audio HD750/1 powering them
Zenenclosure box
JL Audio c5-525's and JL Audio TR690txi's for the rear powered by a JL audio xd400/4 amp.
Dynamat inside doors, trunk, everywhere

I'm running the big 3 and a yellow top optima...should i be safe power drain wise?

should i upgrade alt.?

Should i upgrade any other speakers?

You should be fine with power IF you make sure you have some really good solid big grounds on your amps and electronics. Some can spend time upgrading their big 3 and forget that a crappy ground on your amps will completely negate those changes!

Im running just about the same set-up power wise (+750 and 400 on the amps + yellow top Optima) and I have no issues. I did NOT upgrade my big 3. I DO have a 1 farad cap though. I dont think you should have a problem without the cap though.

Some tips:
-Definitely make sure you use some beefy cable, dont go smaller than 4 gauge, and definitely go larger if you can afford the extra metal.
-+1 On proper grounding as well. Keep grounding points away from other circuit paths in the car. Ideally, you want to ground every point of the system in the same place, and that place should be as close to the battery as possible.
-Run your power cable on the opposite side of the car as your signal cable. If power goes down the driver side, run the signal down the passenger side. Power cables can create interference which can then be transmitted into your signal cables and eventually out of your speakers.

I’m now running a 220 amp alternator with the racing line performance grounding kit w/ the alternator cable and the yellow top optima. For my power wire for my amp’s I have a 0awg (120amp fuse) to a 4awg fused distro block (60amp and a 50 amp). I am mounting the 2 amps behind the driver and passenger seats. I'm stripping the car and using b-quit to sound deaden everything.

Would the seat frame bolts be good or a big no-no?
Could someone recommend a better spot for the grounding location?

Anywhere under the rear seat should be fine, not sure I would use the seat frame bolts though. Just make sure to scuff the paint away from the metal before you ground it so there is a solid connection.
