I keep seeing posts about Ohm-ing injectors so I bought a voltmeter (analog w/ the needle) but when I tested the injectors, 5 came out the same, 2 a little different, and one is way off then the rest. But the ones that are similar rate as a 2 on the scale, then theres 2 3's and on 5? WTF?? Do I need to use a particular setting? Yes I am using the Ohm settings, not AC or DC. Help!!!

Most analog, moving-needle VOMs don't have enough "resolution" to reliably measure the small difference between a good and a bad injector. The inexpensive models don't have a resistance scale setting that measures small resistances - everything under a few dozen ohms pegs the needle, regardless of what the actual resistance is.

Bottom Line: Take your new meter back to the store, and get a digital multimeter (DMM) instead. Harbor Freight has one on sale almost all the time for less than 5 bucks.

Ditto Skibane's comments. You must have a DMM. I would buy the best one you can afford/justify. I prob. wouldn't go with the cheapest one....but I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to electronic tools. I've got the $200 Fluke, an oscilloscope, 30A variable bench power supply, etc, etc. That's my life tho, use them everyday.

I do love Harbor Freight tho. It is dangerous for me to go in that store.

They know me by name now... My dad was a HFT addict! He would get the flyer and circle the deals and go buy them. I have enough bungie cords, blue tarps, and battery float chargers to last for a long, long time! Unfortunatly he lost his vision a few years back from a stroke, but I still take him there just to absorb some of that distinctive Harbor Freight smell sometimes

That is funny, it certainly does have a distinctive smell doesn't it.
