If you are going to do any taillight "modifications" to a fastback, the only things that are acceptable are some JDM taillights, thats it.

Though if you really wanted to(i cant believe im gonna give you this idea) you could paint the center light panal the color of your car and not paint over the reverse lights.

That is the ugliest 95-96 tail I have ever seen! Not only does it look poorly done, and out of place... but he has the notorious, "Nissan GTR Power" emblem on the back....lame-o-z-h0m0!

If you all take a look at that anti rice pic a little closer...those are not altezzas...the douchebag owner duct taped over the stock tail lights to make them look like altezzas...you can see in the middle of each of the circles its still red, then yellow from the stock pattern. that car is the opitimy of rice

Other than taste...what's the difference between swapping clear tail lights or swapping to the 96 180SX Type X lights?????

Not seeing much of a difference...and the clears are probably a whole hell of a lot cheaper than the Type X conversions....

It's kinda like saying "Those 13 inch chrome 3 spokes are cheaper than a set of 17 inch Volk ce37's" Aftermarket tails are made from **** plastic and besides looking like **** they are frequently illegal. The 180 tails update the back end and are factory quality.:sleep

For the most part companies don't make aftermarket taillights for the 240sx. But if you do find one let me know.

Another thing is why are you guys hate moding the exterior of your car? Yeah I do pefere performance or looks, but you guys are hating too much. Take for instance this car

I personally don't care if people do all exterior mods, so long as they're fairly tasteful and they don't think they're fast. The problem is, 99% of people do exterior mods and then think/act faster than they ever can or will be, thats the only thing that frustrates me.

i didnt bother reading the entire thread....but clear tails on a 240??? sorry if everyone seems to be badgering u for this, but CLEAR TAILS ON A 240???

hehe, they wouldnt look that good anyway, too much silver...240 owner's are sorta the anti rice import owners. maybe buy some 98 tail lights...i have also seen skyline tail convertions that look nice, and i have even seen a supra tail light conversion that didnt look half bad.

The problem I have is balance. You have all that money in body mods (which by the way I like), but then have Pepboys tailights and those $50 dollar rims. And I can stand a rolling adverisement.

There is a price to pay when you try to make your car the best, it needs to be the best all around. Cars that are "sorted", or well thought out, have all that it takes to make it look good, without being flashy. They have all that makes it go fast, without the cheesy mufflers or vents in every panel. You must choose your mods wisely, complimenting each other and still being original.

Also remember, you cannot make every one happy, and someone will always hate on your car, even if its the best car in the world. And there will always be people that are jealous, and hate b/c they cant do what you have done.

I dont know how everybody else feels but when I see a car (such as that look-at-me-orange Integra) with huge non-functional side ducts, a phonebook of advertising, and a coffee can fart pipe I cant help but think, "Maybe his parents didnt pay him much attention and he thinks he'll get it by being loud and standing out in a crowd."

This is the kind of bastard that has to have his bass loud enough to break windows and he feels that he needs to redline each gear EVERY TIME just to hear himself, and they usually do it through your neighborhood at 3:00 in the morning.

Thats just my opinion and I could be VERY wrong.

P.S. What are those ducts for anyway, to cool off your breaks when you slow down from 60, or maybe intake for the engine in the back.....oh wait no the engine is in the front of that car.....weird.

i totall agree with everyone about not turning the 240 into rice-mobile, but i heard somewhere that you can get rid of the amber in your tail light assembly by heating it and scraping the orange tint out. i think this would be nice to do to make your car different. different, not honda/acura ricey.

Okay, here is the difference, Euro tails are patented by APC, Altezzas were copied from the Toyota Altezza/IS 300, clear tails, well, they are just clear and dont have the read in them, flourescent kind of, that is the difference. Thank You.

does any one have a link to a company that does sell altezza's for a 240, I have never seen real ones, but I have seen fakes, and every where that I have looked for 240 body parts I have checked, and still have never seen them.

I am not looking to buy, please don't accuse me of thet, but I would like to get a laugh at how dumb they would look on an S13 or S14.

Don't get me wrong, i'm no fan of euro/altezza/whatever lights.. the only ones I like are normal and the white ones.

anyone seen the tailights for the S13 coupe which remove the amber part and has a whole white section and bright red at the bottom. Its not fuken chrome on clear but i think they look sweet, they look kinda like the SC300's tailights....and if looking for diffrent tailights, why dont you just get the JDM Kouki, i think, tailights, which i bet someone already mention.
