Today I had a great day and a bad day, today I got the CD changer from Keith (Rex) and it works perfectly but with minor imperfections but for the price I paid I am extremely happy, You rock Rex..

But the bad part of my day, I had the car on to warm it up after I installed the CD changer in the trunk (What a ***** of a job) and I as soon as I shut the drivers door all the doors locked up (bad door lock timer).

Always replace your door lock timer at the first sign of the doors locking then unlocking by them selves.

I had a keyless door entry and trunk opener installed on the 90Q as a Christmas gift to myself this year. $150 installed, CA price. It works great with no issues. Now I have a spare key and a spare remote.

Paul- I have bad hair days once in a while too.

I want to get keyless entry but I want all my mods to be easily removable like (Auto dimming mirror, Vent lights, 1990 seat controls...) and I am also afraid of bad installs because what if they screw it up so bad that even the dealer can't even fix my car.

And I want too keep the OEM look to everything I do I wish i could wire up the 1994 Q45 alarm but I have no BCM.

So I will sleep on it i guess.

I'm going to get a couple of estimates at a body shop and see what they can do about it, I think the side pillar trim is $60 and the door weather striping can't b e much.

O will practice on junk yard cars and see how it comes out.

But seriously what the screw.

Sounds like you had a bad day for sure. Nothing like being locked out of your running car! I have been there too...

From now on I will leave the window down and look at junkyards for the center pillar cover.

Damn Door lock timer to hell.

What ironic is that when the door was opened I locked it with the door open and the key in the ignition and it did'nt lock.

But the bad days are what get us to through the good days.

i always put it low enough to fit my hand in not all the way down. or put something between the door i do that sometimes too.Lol when i turn my heater on i keep my sun room open the lift way not slide open. There was a story i forgot where that 3 girls were going to school or work i think. It was really cold i forgot how old and the weather had frozen the pipes etc in the car. They turned it on and str8 gas went into the compartment where they were and they dies instantly.Ever since i got scared lol.It was in an accord or acura maybe something else i forget. But they said if they would've had the window down a little bit like a slight line of air coming in they could've lived.CRAZY!!!but yeah just roll you window down until where u can fit ur arm or keep something between the door.

this happened to me TWICE times lol... i had a problem with the wiring in the door panel. I eventually got it rewired and it work ok now but i always roll down the window enough to get my whole arm in there just in case. Also Ive seen my doors get professionally unlocked twice with nondamage to my Q... I have a 1994 and on it you have to go in from the back passenger side door.
