always component speakers?

I notice that everyone always agrees to get the component speakers .... but is it ever a good idea to get a good 2-way or 3-way speaker set for the car?

Component speakers always provide better sound quality because it is two separate drivers designed to do one thing and therefore can do it much more efficiently. The only catch is they require more power so you should be thinking about an amplifier if you're going to use components.
