My water pump died and i was wondering if anyone made an all aluminum or at least superior to OEM/Factory water pumps for the S13. . .

Also i found a koyo radiator for $97 on ebay it's copper and plastic, is it any good? if you need further info on it just type in 240sx koyo on ebay search and it'll pop up; and for that matter is any koyo on ebay worth buying under 160?

My spark plugs need replacing as well and i wanted to go NGK platinum but was wondering what the best plugs and plug wires to get for the money were.

Thanks in advance!

I guess i'll just make this my super annoying newb post and go ahead and ask about air intakes, like AEM short ram vs regular AEM intake pros and cons, i dont care about injen intakes, even if they do produce a few more HP it's not worth 70 bucks more than the short ram i found for 130 shipped. . .

dont worry about the intake, unless you want a full NA build you wont use it again after you get a turbo

as far as plugs we have a sponsor that you can go to for that sort of thing, sparkplugs.com

Wow, lots of questions, very few answers on this thread.

Ok first off if you can get the AEM cheaper than do it. I don't know if AEM makes the Cold Air extension that mounts in your bumper though.

As for those "knock off" Koyo Radiators, yes I said knock off you are on your own. IF you buy one and it works great, let us know. Otherwise you'll be pissed when it doesn't!

240SX's are made to run with NGK (plugs and wires)so I highly recommend them!

On the water pump issue, a pump is a pump. The only gains you will see is if you run an electric one because yes the KA/SR pumps are belt driven which robs the engine of power. I bought a replacement for my S14 for less than $30 at Auto Zone.

oh yeah i forgot about the radiator

yeah you dont want that one, either its a knock off or its one of the koyo's thats made to just be an oem replacement

you want the all aluminum radiator, drift factory has had them on sale for a while you can check if they still are

If you want a electric water pump check out Meziere. They have one for the 1990 SR20 engine and up years. I heard about this pump over in the Integra forums. People say it's good, but it tends to over cool the engine. A company called CSI make a digital temperature gauge which can control when you want your electric water pump or fans to come on at any temperature desired.

Thanks for all the help guys! I got an OEM water pump for 85 bucks and this ASC pump for 38. . .the ASC looks to be the same exact design as the OEM but of course nearly 50 dollars cheaper, should i take the OEM back?

And i've been looking at nology spark plug wires. . there's some pitch about a 2-5% HP increase, wondering if that was true.

Take the OEM back. I bought one from Autozone over a year ago and no problems and it was only like $35, so if you have to pay more than $40 for a "New" water pump then you are getting

When I say "new" I mean brand new because Auto Zone also sells refurbished ones for about $10 cheaper. Might as well get the new one!
