I am trying to find out any information that you may have regarding these Aluminum Subframe Bushings. I have a 1991 240sx hatch, lowered about 2". I have found both the standard bushings and ones that raise the subrame 3/8". My question is has anybody used these and are there any benifit to doing so? I have put a link to both options, please give me any feedback you may have.......

I honestly think for the price its overkill. I have the z32 energy suspension subframe bushings and are plenty stiff and make a world of difference. (vs my blown oem bushings)

okay I value your input very much. That being said would you see any advantage of using the shorter version?

For a car that is lowered, yes. Shorter subframe bushings will bring the axis point for the lca higher so on a lowered car it helps keep the suspension geometry from changing as much when the suspension travels. will you notice much of a difference between a shorter/longer subframe bushing? My opinion, is no. you will notice the difference from stock to a, solid or poly mount though.

I guess my concern is that I can understand how by raising the subframe it will help to correct the axel angle. However what I am wondering is by doing this wouldn't that increase the angle from the driveshaft to the diff?

Yes it would but unless your making some serious power, I doubt a few degrees would matter. As far as the axle angle it would help that on a lowered car but mainly what I was referring to was, when the suspension travels, the camber and toe change more progressively the further away from the axis point you go. That's why they make aftermarket ball joints that are longer, which puts the lca further away from the spindle to help with this. If you are planning on making some serious power, id go with stock sized bushings that way you don't start breaking u-joints.

ok, this does help me out very much. I am planning on building the motor but it will be a little further down the road. However I don't like to do things twice so i think I'm just gonna go with the stock size and stick with that. Thank you very much!
