I was just curious to know what is the better caliper for the Z32brake swap the Aluminum or the Iron calipers?

And also I'm looking for the Brembo OEM type rotors for the 300zx TT for the fronts and the Brembo OEM type rotors for the rear of the 240sx.

Iron is better, doesn't warp like aluminium.

so people really just get the 30mm aluminum for what? Weight i'd assume?

And i don' tthink there really is a need for the drilled or slotted rotors, the Brembo OEM type rotors should hold up very nicely.

30mm were offered in iron and aluminum. alum. is better for weight savings but the iron ones will fare better under hard braking because the iron can absorb more heat than the aluminum.

The aluminum came in 26 and 30mm for a short time. The 30mm iron came out in the later models.

I personally have a set of 30mm iron that I wouldn't mind trading for 26 or 30 mm aluminum, solely for the unsprung weight savings.

weight diff in quasisubstantial. i dunno, running long straights in a roadrace, u might see some benefit in big iron calipers. i got 30mm iron for such reasons.-enzo
