ALTRUISM !

Just wanted to let you know of a program started here in San Diego that is doing a lot of good and spreading viraly across the USA and through several Talk Shows -

It supports the families of our men and women that have been called off to serve - support the war or not, this program is only trying to help those poor souls left behind - and that is waaaaay to many as I have been hearing.

It is called Operation Homefront and it only asks that you help with the families of service personal that have met insurmontable problems trying to cope w/o the supporting spouse - cars crapping out, household fixit needs . . . Neighborhoods, businesses and indivuals get together and try to support however one is able to: provide transportation or move something, donating washers, beds, computers, food, time . . . .

The stories of need and attempts to muddle through are enough to bring a tear to anyones’ eye !

The amount of people selflessly volunteering what they can has been eye opening, heartwarming and really challenges your better qualities to reach down deeper and HELP -

Some additional info on really making a positive impact, and possibly helping to set a similar situation into play in your neighborhood can be found through http://www.rogerhedge****.com/homefront.html -

Thanks so much in advance

Mike

You might try getting to the info via http://www.kogo.com/jock01.html and clicking on the URL at the bottom of the page to get to Roger's site, and then clicking on the Op Homefront button in the blue box on the upper left -

this is great , just the program military sposes need , i help most of them when i can but there are still lots that get negligted , accoring to rules here on my base every spouse is supposed to have a sponsor (someone to take care of them) when there significant other is deployed , many times the sponsor neglicts the spouse ..happens more than i would like to see . up here i guess its easy to loose sight of what important ...

many times military men who are appinted sponsors are afriad of rumors being started of home wrecking as it has been known to happen time to time , tell your fishing buddy to watch your wife while your in the desert and he finds a new fishing hole .....

anyway thanks for posting , its good to know we still have patrotic americans out there with the sprit we had in the 40s
