Was removing the exhaust heat shield (trying to find exhaust leak) and the shield touched the back of the alternator (should have disconnected the battery I know). There were sparks and a whiff of smoke. Now the car won't start. The battery is tested good, new batteries in both key fobs. I have pulled and checked every fuse. There is yellow key light in the upper left corner. The fuel pump will prime but nothing else. Things that work: turn signals, hazards, dome lights, brake lights. Things that don't work: power locks, power windows, radio, headlights. I am at a loss at this point. Any ideas?

One of your main fusible links in the battery card is blown, probably the big 250A link right on top.

Bingo! Couldn't see it real well because it was dirty and grimy.
