I was in the market for an Infiniti G37 but that dream has come to an end due to the fact that I am so young (17) and don't see a point and spending 40k on a car. So with that being said- could you please share why you chose your Altima vs. the Accord? I'm looking for a 3.5 Altima but I've also heard mixed-reviews. Any opinions will be greatly appreciated.

First, the accord coupe wasn't even out yet.Second, the look, those lines, that sexy back, mmmm.Third, the 270HP VQ.Fourth, the AWESOME ride and feel with Nissan's new D platform, the great cornering and handling.Fifth, TRUE COUPE.

I'm done lol

Thanks for your input. I agree with the styling factor, but I still haven't test-driven either. As far as your power comparison, the Accord only has 2 less HP haha.

The accord coupe is out already. I have seen it like 2 months ago. Despite of that, I still think the altima is the greatest. lolYou sure you want to get a 3.5SE? I don't think for a 17 years-old needs that fast. Although I did think about getting a V6 for my 16 birthday, I still got a altima 2.5sl instead. It costs me 32K though

IMO Accord has alittle better interior and resale value..

Both similar power in V6 model

A/C better looking outside

Hexyea I'm gettin the 6 lol. I love the look of the G37 and the A/C is practically it but cheaper. I have decided on the A/C but have yet to drive one w/ CVT. That transmission amazes me. I still dunno how it works.

i got myself a altima coupe 3.5 and im 17, G37 would've been sexy but spending an extra 10k+ not to practical for me, i do wish our altima's could have that G35 purr. but yea it is pretty fast for me. plus accord in auto is boring just a standard auto which the cvt which can go manual mode is alot of fun to play with!

Accord is nice and all but the Nissan VQ engine has a certain prestige and legacy behind it. Im actually thinking about trading my car in next year for a 3.5 coupe haha. But I think you should go with the 6 speed manual. . Plus being that young youd have an edge on every other person that doesnt have a manual. Plus chicks dig sticks

While your test driving, you HAVE to take a Mazda 3 Sport, or a Mazda3Speed for a test drive. These vehicles are so solid, well built with all the details right and untouchable quality, and so much fun to drive. I'm not saying it competes with the Altima, but it is something you need to test drive before you make your final decision. Mazda 3 dude!

V6 vs V6... I don't think so

if you're talking looks, OK cool, that's a personal opinionif you're talking space, then yes, Accord wins hands down both trunk and interior space wise

if you're talking speed, then you're mis informed! The new accord coupe is eerily similar to the older Acura CL...

The Smart Car runs laps around the Accord.

See how that works?

Honda underrated the Accords engine anyways its pushing over 268hp, its probably the same 286hp in the Type-S TL but honda doesn't want to hurt the TL's sales so they underrated it.

The accord beats the altima a little on the top end (every 1/4 mile Ive seen gives a better trap for the accord)

Although these test conclusions could be due to the fact that the Accord has a better wheel/tire combo.

My supervisor has the new v6 accord coupe

We took off together at a light once, I pulled a car length on the jump and held if gaining ever so slightly up to 90. Let off with a lead of 1 1/2 cars. Both v6 auto. As for handling, I don't know for sure what the accord coupe can do, but I know now, my coupe would run circles against them
