Sorry NICO, but the Altima has been traded in.

The car was really great for what it offered, and I loved the looks, but I wanted a lot more under the hood.. so I went and got another 6 speed...

Good luck everyone, and thanks for all the great threads!

yeah, I was thinking the same thing... can't tell from the front.. but the single or dual exhausts from the rear will tell the story.. (at least it does for the coupe 3 series... ) If it is the 3281... ehhh, not very powerful at all... but if its the 335i.. power wise... TONS of potential... and pretty quick in stock form also

It's a 335i. 2007, sports+premium, manual, certified pre-owned.

...and only $30k!

I hadnt realized how affordable off-lease CPO 335i's had become!

I managed to pay off my Altima in about 1.5 years thanks to a promotion at work. So I was sitting around with a paid off car (which i did love), when I realized I could have all of the comforts of the A/C with all the power of the 335 with a pretty reasonable payment. Though, to admit, i still think the A/C looks better.

Sadly, the 335i doesnt have the comfort access feature, so I have to insert the keyfob in before I turn the car on... YUCK! Nissan *rocks* for making that standard.

Indeed, you got it... 2007 was the first year for the new build, so it's still the same as new models.

Though there is some variance from individual car to car, it's thought that BMW is very conservative with it's rating.

nice upgrade...

I heard the maintenance cost of BMW or Mercedes is outrageous after the warranty is over.

335i 30k is about right... ive seen some for 27k. i love my altima coupe but if something happen and it got totaled (of course i don't wish for this, just if it happen) i'd get a 335i instead of another altima coupe... altima coupe is an amazing looking car and is great but the 335i kills it in every category (except looks).

Yeah.. it's expensive... but that's why I got the extended BMW maintenance package too.

So basically, the car has free maintenance and an extended warranty till 2012/100k miles.

After then, I'm runnin' for the hills!

oh.. and to add.. sweet Z. If I didnt have a 70lb dog who I need to take places with me, I would have been in a Z instead... so amazing. i tried so hard to see if he could fit in one, but it just wouldnt work

nice upgrade with the 335.. my only problem with BMW is the interior, but performance is top notch of course,,'

regarding power.. Hussain has stated this and I've read on reviews that that tt0335i is probably doing about 350hp, and 300 or more at the wheels... that 300bhp rating is VERY under-rated... and as mchedaddi stated a flash will put you past the M3 performance-wise

yeah, that kills it for me... maintenance can be a biatch... I can't upgrade tp a luxurycar until I can afford the "luxury maintenance costs" ... by the way, Kuhan, love your car bruh... looks like your avatar, just red

See, that's what puzzles me.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I actually liked the A/C's interior more, too! Maybe I'm crazy, but I always got mad when I read reviews about the A/C that talked about a crappy interior.

I guess I just don't completely "get" German engineering. I think they should stick to working on the things you cant look at, then hire out for visual design elements

quick question about the throw of the shifter...

when Atlanta had the car show last year I went around to the manual beemers (M3, 335, etc) and they all seemed to have a pretty long throw with the shifter compared to my old a/c and now g35 (both 6mts) did you notice a difference or is it just me...idk

sweet upgrade btw

I was considering a bmw before I started lookin at AC's and the reason I stopped was due to the outrageous service costs after warranty. My roommate's dad is a bmw mechanic and could probably hook me up but he's in ft laudy and I don't want to drive 8 hours each time to get something fixed.

great car though, would've been the one I wanted to get...but in black even though dark slate seems to look pretty good these days.

The shifts feel more precise, and there is a lot more resistance to the 'resting' position of the shifter in the BMW (it springs back into place with more force). Also the clutch is stiffer, but not overly so.

The throw is a little shorter to me, but its not enough to make that much of a difference.

I have been driving manuals my whole life, but dont consider myself an especially good shifter. For that reason, I notice that BMW is far more forgiving with sloppy RPM matches on any given shift (at least in the low end) than the Altima was.

I will say I preferred the Nissan method to going into reverse. With the BMW you have to push it very hard all the way to the left. The raised switch approach by Nissan is far more sophisticated.

But, I do prefer the feel of the BMW shifter in my hand to that of the Nissan.

Totally agree. 335 just kicks a** in performance, but the interior especially the dash (BMW in general) really has the boring looks with the orange displays, but the exterior style and performance overshadow the boring interior!

Thanks everyone for the kind comments about my Z.

Congrats! The 335 is very tunable. Just like STI's and Evo's, except with a bigger displacement to begin with. My next car will definitely be a six-speed BMW as well. Good choice!

However, I'm very worried for you in terms of CPO's... Especially BMW CPO's.

Dude: You shoulda got a 3.5SE.... You would never have had to do this...

I looked at Beemers before I got my A/C and decided they just weren't worth the upkeep and the mental energy...

BMW = Big Money Wasted.
