well i was pondering today about what to do with my car as far as mods go. The warranty wont last too much longer, and im still undecided whether to keep it and drive it until she dies, or sell her in o6 when she's paid off. Anyway, one idea i had , was finding a Spec V transmission to bold onto my altima, in essence making it a 6spd altima. This would be very BA imo and i could keep the 'niceness' of my altima but have the 'sportiness' of hte spec V, i figured this would be fairly easy conidering the motors are exactly the same, is htis possible?

If you are going to pay for a transmission swap, why not make the car a 3.5? At that point it may be cheaper to pay off, sell the car and buy a new 3.5 Altima.

the whole idea is keeping the car i have now, i kinda like the lil four, but yes a 3.5 would be BA, however, if i were to pay 26k for a new car, it wouldnt be an altima, but anway, would it work regardless?

I don't see why it wouldn't work, it would just cost money, and your time to do it. Don't forget about the transmission harness, and you might need to use the spec v guages as well.

yea , i did some reasearch and pretty much found it to very not be worth teh money. So chances are ill keep the altima just how it is, perhaps a CAI, exhaust, lil stuff like that. And then perhaps when its paid off, ill pick up an old 24o and have fun with her, if they're any left by then :(

There will be. Get a non-running one and do a swap right away. That's the most cost effective way if you plan on swapping it.

thats what i figured, or keep my altima, buy up a non running 24o, save money and do a swap or whatever i want to do by then. Then once i have it running, sell the altima and put THAT money into the 24o.
