Hi everyone. I want to improve the look of the shift bezel but not with vinyl. Has anyone wet sanded this part in their car or tried? I like the OEM finish, just want to get rid of all the thin scratches to a nice new finish look.
Thank you.

If you are referring to the plastic wrinkly chromed trim, then I spent 45 minutes peeling off the fake plating (windshield razor and worn fingernails), wet sanded and rattle-canned with some left over Rustoleum metallic matte nickel - which accidentally matches the steering wheel real close.
