As a former '06 SE-R owner (Should have never sold that car...ARRGGH!), I was just wondering if there is a specific forum for owners of that car on this site.

Noob looking for direction

I don't think so, this is the forum for ALL Altimas on NICO.

Civic SI is better looking than Altima SE-R IMO and it's got A VTECH YO!

Yeah, but the A/C is way more grown and sexy than the Civic Si! So forget about the SE-R, forget about the Civic and about Honda all together... and come back to the darkside of Nissan! The Altima Coupe calls you!...lol

Both are very nice cars in their own ways.

SE-R:++had it all (260hp VQ engine, HID's, leather, 6-spd )++suprisingly decent gas mileage (I averaged around 25mpg)++wonderful engine/exhaust sound....and something Hondas don't have....TORQUE! (-) ****ty resale value (compared to Honda anyway, actually, most cars resale is ****ty compared to Honda)(-) Higher insurance premiums (Apparantly, Allstate really didn't like the "SE-R", so they decided they'd rape me on insurance)(-) handling felt heavy and sluggish compared to the civic SI (plus, I'm used to the smaller cars, they seem to have a more nimble feel to them).

NO question though, if I had the coin I'd have both....haha!

I'd love to the have the SE-R as my DD, and keep the SI for my fiancee (I WILL teach her to drive stick!).

Japanese cars FTW!

Gotta say I am impressed by SI's almost got one myself. But one friend has a black coupe, another has a white sedan, and a third has a white coupe. Black and white are the only colors I'd choose. No since in having duplicates in the same club so i got my ever so sexy altima!

I don't know why they didn't make the Sedan Si with the same rear Bumper as the Coupe Si.

The Coupe Si has such a nice *** but the sedan...

i traded in an 06 honda civic sedan....not si unfortunately they hadnt made it yet in that body style when we bought it. the only reason we bought that ugly car was because it was for my hubby and he was driving soooo much and we thought it would be better on gas. i just got tired of seeing the ugly thing in the garage so gave my hubby my equinox and i got the new alti coupe. best decision i ever made!!!! a few weeks later i saw my civic sitting in the used car lot of my nissan dealership and i didnt feel a single regret!!!

The SI is a pretty impressive car for what it is...197hp i-VTEC, 6 spd M/T w/ helical LSD (shifts like butter), corners and rides very well right out of the box, comes standard w/ EVERYTHING (moonroof, 17" alloys--mine has the optional Honda Factory Performance (HFP) EP-R5's, traction control, ABS, leather wrapped wheel and shift knob, etc, etc). All that AND I average 30 mpg city/hwy mix and insurance isn't THAT bad....Sticker was just under $22K as well

To each his/her own. Personally, I like the sedan's rear end, not quite as rounded/spaceship looking as the coupe, IMHO.

It's all good though.

bryman<----still wants an SE-R (or an '02-'03 Maxima SE w/ 6spd M/T)
