I saved an article that my local newspaper printed about it. Sounds like it's gonna be quite the ride. 6spd...!!!

probably see decent sales...though I think just a 10 hp increase is pretty damn weak...

I'd have made it 275....sure, it'd be close to the 350Z, but there's still a big enough difference between the two models not to infringe on the sales.

Exactly ^^

10hp isn't anything. It looks and handles better I"m sure, but it needs a lil more juice IMO, especially to be worthy of an "se-r" badge.

REMEMBER this is a SE-R version of the Altima 3.5se. If you look at the sentra/200sx SE-R and the Spec V then you will see that yes there is only a few extra HP, BUT lots of other good enhancements.

I think that the Altima SE-R will be a great car and well worth the $.

They kinda got one. A base model G35 is about the same as an Altima SE-R. Maybe just a little bit more.

And heck, give Nissan time, they just came out with like 20 new models of cars. Just wait to see what the next 5 years brings us.

I want one, but for that price I would shell out a bit more and ride the STI.

On the same planet that has an Infiniti G35, Who cares about a FWD VQ35DE car?

Yeah, I guess by "that price range" I meant like standard Altima money. I'm thinking $20-25 or 26k, like what someone pays for an Altezza RS200 in Japan. Nissan needs a RWD, turbocharged 4dr in that category. G35 rules, but I don't want the Infiniti Badging, I don't want all the leather/wood/other crap, I don't want the extra weight, and it needs to be turbo.

Something along the lines of a Toyota Chaser, base Altezza RS200, ER34 Skyline Sedan, etc... A big RWD sedan that ISN'T a $35k+ luxury car, sort of like a Japanese Crown Vic or something, but not suck-tastic.

Oh, and Super Rad needs to bring back that guinea pig with the hat. That thing was pimp.

I guess adding alot more power doens't matter alot because the 3.5 SE Alty's are already pretty potent. As I say, I bet the handling has been improved, as well as the eye appeal. Its a gorgeous car to begin with, then adding more stuff can't hurt.

Looks awesome and very aggressive in the pics, but look at all the wheel gap in the front still

I'd buy one

I got my 04 G35 sedan with sport package for 27.2k brand new. No navigation system and other ammeneties SE-R has will ever substitute sheer fun of RWD.

As far as Infinti badging - 200$ gets you Nissan all around. Leather I like, but everything else I don't have, even sunroof, which adds almost 100 pounds. So in base configuration I'm almost the same weight as 350z. Stock baseline 215whp/210wtq.
