Cant remember where but i read that a good semi stock upgrade to the 240sx pistons are altima rings on stock 240sx pistons. is this correct? im going to go this route temporarly untill i get the funds for the true engine build. does anyone have a link as to where to get the ring kit too?

i dont have a link but i will say that nissan rings are really good. i love them. jwt specs their pistons to use nissan stock rings. i will also say that the stock ka pistons are not great. they are the first thing i would replace if i opened up a ka for a build. especially forced induction.

1998 Altima rings are the ones you want. They are stronger than aftermarket rings.

You can thank JWT for this discovery.

Are we talking about rings straight from the dealer?

Yes.

But remember, on stock pistons...the ring lands will still break 1st, so don't think that adding better rings will get you anywhere if you're still using OEM pistons.

FYI...
