Altima Radio Illumination question

i bought an altima radio for my 240sx and some of the buttons dont light up, i took the face plate off and i didnt want to dig any further. are these LED's? or what? everything else works on the radio... took me a while to figure out what wires were what, it just looks like crap at night bc a lot of the buttons dont light up.

wait. why did you get an altima radio? couldn't you have gone with an after market radio instead?
