Phenom, Surman, and I are at my parents house right now... this is on the news here in NY.

We are discussing the situation and "what would you do?"

My mom says she would have done the same thing this kid did.

Traffic behind you, guy banging on your hood, you are alone in the car... What would you do?

It's just one of those situations, do you let someone with a gun come after you or do you shoot them before they get close. I'm afraid I would have done the same. Wouldn't have wanted to walk up on the dead guy

According to latest news reports he called 911 while being threatened by the victim. The police were quoted the line was open to them when he ultimately ran over the victim, who was screaming and banging on his hood.

Like i've told my fiance, if some dips*** get's out of their car and starts raising hell about your driving(or theirs and they are to ignorant to realize it's their mistake) . GTFO of there immediately. Too many stupid people in this world carring weapons and no one should have to take a chance.

I don't see a jury convicting him of anything other than Involuntary manslaughter and that would be iffy.

Yea, just put yourself in his shoes and tell me you wouldn't have hit the gas.....and tbh, if someone is pounding on my new car's hood.........reverse anyone? j/k....

You know if you get pulled over with a bat in your back seat you can get in trouble right? Its a weapon, are you going to a rec league game? have a glove too, or just a bat?

Having something like that in the car can only cause a bad situation (getting pulled over) worse....

I know some of you guys are gonna be like "ohh come on LBC, they arent going to do anything about having a bat"

When you get pulled out of the car and handcuffed on the sidewalk for it, then you can understand.

If you are willing to run someone over, whats the point of even having a bat then?

Some states even allow hand guns to be carried in vehicles.

Thank god we live up here and not down there.

They seem to leave out important details like where is the car?

And does he have a hot gf?

Its been many many years since I was at Queens College but the hot woman that were there back then are probably old and fat by now

I think in texas you can have a handgun on your lap and a half full bottle of liquor on the front seat!

thats why its not in plain sight lol its kinda like the knives i have in my car technically the one is illegal but i dont care its called if i need it one day it will be there.....the best thing is to get a small 20in pvc thick azz pipe under ur seat like my dad has bc u cant get in trouble as a weapon and it will hurt like a mother and it will be unseen wen you first step out.

My pproblem is i dont know what i would do in this situation bc if someone EVER did anything to my car ide be REALLY pissed and hell i have a temper as some of you jknow so it wouldnt be good if i was this kid bc i dont know what would of happened.

Something like this happened to me and my wife..We were at a stop light and there was a green arrow to turn right, my wife waited for a good 5 seconds and it was clear the driver was distracted, so she just tapped the horn. The lady went ABSOLUTELY ape, started flailing around her car, and then got out and approached our car to scream at us that it is the "driver's choice to go during a red light", at which point we pointed out that there was a green arrow, I was nearly to the point of getting out of our car (my 6'4" thick build would have shut her up), but she got back in her car, we immediately called 911, and it just so happened that she was going to the same grocery store we were, and there just so happened to be a cop already in the parking lot, dispatch knew he was there and he intercepted the lady as she got out of her car to have a chat, probably going something along the lines of "you moron, you could have been killed."
