well yesterday my car broke down. i knew it had to be the timing chain because the cams were not turning. today i tore it apart and found that the pos chain guide , on top, had broke, fell down andn messed up my sproket, distributor gear, and broke the top chain.

after finding this out, i started looking for a new engine. i found one out of a 98 altima for 300.00. will this work?

ok....an altima is FWD. 240's are RWD....so no.

try searching http://www.car-parts.com if you don't find anything here.
