I think i'm being seduced into the whole hybrid thing. I hear Nissan is releasing an altima hybrid? Has anyone heard any more about this? I've been thinking of getting Prius. What's your thoughts on hybrids? And for fun check out http://www.planetkaizen.com for a gear test. I scored a 6.

I really like the hybrids. If I was looking into a new car for a daily driver, I would be seriously considering one. I could never have a hybrid and not have my fun project car too though, I would get bored of driving.

I like the Ford Escape hybrid. Looks like a small truck, retains all of the utility, but does away with the high fuel costs and environmental waste.

Well car manufacturers are finding ways to get performance outta these cars. Just look at the Eclipse hybrid.

Have you considered a turbodiesel? All the fuel efficiency with none of the fugly (if you were considering a Prius). You also get tons of torque.

Depends on how much deisel is around where you live as well. Around here its on par with 93 octane gas.
