Hey Nistech, got a question for you. My sister's 95 altima is having some issues with the fan control from the heater control unit. It reads from 0 to 4, but only works in the off position and the 4 position. Any ideas as to what could be going on with it?

the blower motor resistor has burnt up. Probably due to an excessive draw from the blower motor it self. Replace the blower and the resistor and all will be good. Note If you just do the resistor it will work again but for how long is unknown could be a day could be yrs.

Hmm the resistor in the blower motor eh? I assume it's all part of that same assembly where the blower motor is located?

yea its not far from the motor. it is a 4 wire connector and instead of the connector being stacked 2 and 2 it is one long connecter with 4 larger wires going into it. probably brown in color. there should be 2 screws holding the resistor in the case and it will be about in the center of the passenger feet area.
