altima engine codes

For discussion of front-drive SR20DE, SR20VE and SR20DET engines!

just curious what years the sr20de and the ka were in the altima's? There's not too much info through google and even less forums to troll around. Can someone point me in the right direction?

The sr20 was never in a US altima. Only the bluebird attessa in Japan, which was similar to the 94-96 body style us altimas.

My 96 Altima (infact all Atima U13 in Malaysia) is fitted with the SR20DE workhorse. It's a rear species in Malaysia. Only available through the main Nissan distributor internal management staff. I got mine from one of them.
