Hit a deer this morning on my way to work. I saw it coming and there was no way I could stop fast enough, and swerving would have put me in a ditch. I won't know the extent of the damage till saturday when i take it to the body shop....

Sorry to hear about your car. Glad to hear your ok. So did the deer survive it? you could have thrown it in your trunk or back seat if it was dead and could have had free deer meat. Just make sure that its fully dead before you do. You wouldnt want something happening to your car like that one scene from Tommy Boy where the deer tore up the car.

damn dude that sucks, glad you are ok. Your next mod should be the horn off of a semi or train. Dear may freeze in the headlights, but one of those horns may startle them enough to move. Plus if someone cuts you off, you can scare the crap out of them. hahaha

Get the large train horn that would move a deer http://www.thehoffmangroup.com...mFbZA

I have a nissantech whose a great friend of mine and has been able to work out great deals on fixing cars up for myself, and a few other members here.

Dont get scalped by the shop, post the damages caused and the price they want before you "ok" the repairs... Driving to Long Island to my tech may save you several hundo!

Glad you are ok!

Dang man, Sorry to hear that. I know what you're going thru because where I live, deer run across all the freaking time. I hit 3 deer within a 2 month period! I'm sure my insurance must have loved me.

I bet though you could have stopped in time with the Stillen big Brake kit! Excellent upgrade for those "panic" stops!

I lived in PA for 9 years and trust me especially around hunting season, they will run into the side of your car or so quickly NO brake package will help, now maybe the 10% of the time one is sitting in the road looking at your headlights sure...

Most insurance Company's will rate it under Comp(No falt/ lower deductable) so I would ask about that.

f'n c*k suckin' deer, I hope we can get double bonus licenses this year, man I'll be surprised if i don't hit one or one hits me this year. This is the worst I have seen in a while, those f'ers are smashing up everything this year and you are damn lucky that's all the damage you got, as anyone will tell you from PA. Glad you are ok.

BTW lctruecoupe08, After you get your car fix, Please don't put those deer whistles on the car. My buddy did that and he hit more deer with them on. I think they attract the deer!

haha. i called my job and someone asked me the same thing. 'so are you having deer for dinner?"if i knew where it went i would have found it and beat the snot out of it myself for running into my car!!!

i talked to my insurance company, and i have a rental, cause apparently i pay for that, haha, i have to wait till saturday to have someone look at it. allstate made me an appointment already. but its driveable so i have no problem taking it somewhere else...

does anyone know anything about an MP Auto Body in Hamburg NJ?? that place is right by my parents house...i'd feel more comfortable taking it there i think...

Your lucky, usually if you hit a deer the entire front end of the car is destroyed.

But as long as your aight, it doesnt matter. I would def hit up LBC about the repairs, his Nissan guy is very good at what he does.

I feel for you man, deer can be vicious. My old roommate's car was hit by a deer when he was coming back from a business trip. Tore up his bumper, fender, and headlight. When he got home, we were looking at the damage... it was sorta weird/funny to see all the fur attached to his car.

Need, bumper, fender, headlight, mirror, fix foglight(not broken just brackets are broken), and wheel well insert.

ok so, one body shop i went to quoted just under $3k

waiting on another one, i should get that mondayinsurance cut me a check for $2k - and that total is minus my deductable $500.1360 in parts and 1000 in labor

does this sound decent??
