are our cars more 40mph roll type of cars or 0-60 or 1/4 mile. just wondering because my 0-60 times arent as impressive as like my 40-60mph are. never done a 1/4 mile though

usually cars that prefer to go from a roll have a lot of power and prefer to go from a roll (like 40 MPH) so they don't just spin the tires. I have a 3.5se CVT and have no issues with traction. at the 1/4 mile track I barely get any wheel spin when I try (at the 1/4 mile track it's a lot stickier then the streets). you having a 2.5s CVT should have no issue what so ever with traction. try stepping on the brake all the way and then giving the car some gas to build up the RPMs and then when you want to take off, just let off the brakes.

i have a 3.5 6 spd and when i went to the track (which was a 1/8th mile) i have vdc off and i spun the whole track... i get wayyy better traction on the streets than i did on that track, so i guess in my situation it just depends on how the car gets traction. 4k rpms is where you want to be from a roll though =)

Has anyone ever heard of XYZ coilovers? If so could you let me know how good they are compared to tein and BC? Thanks

^^^^^^^from what i heard, some favor the bc the most but to each their own... or just get the eibachs get the avg drop 1.5 inches then come here to canada for the winter let your car outside all season in -40 degree celcius and let the eibachs contract and get an even lower drop and you will be pleased :gapteeth: theres plenty of threads tho in the forums to figure it out yourself.. what you like...

aside from that i never got traction problems with the stock tires... so maybe its your tires?

ya stick shifts have issues with traction, not CVT.

ya other members have said the same thing. It's because they are short ram intakes and they suck in more air then stock BUT its warm air they suck in. the colder the air, the more dense, the better. a "cold air intake" is what benefits, not the short ram... but closest we have to a CAI is the K&N for the 2.5 and the AEM for the 3.5. they're not CAI BUT they have a little thing to blow more air from in front of the car to short ram intake

They're more "comfortably and stylishly get you from A-B" type cars.\

I know some of the guys on here are boosted, and that's sick, but if you got the CVT four cylinder like I do you just cruise.

Same here man. I was leaning towards the 370 though. I love my Altima and she's served me well, but I can't wait to get into something with more power. We'll see what's around when I'm ready to buy. 350Z, 370Z, G35 Coupe, G37 Coupe, Genesis Coupe... All options at this point but deep down I know I want the 370.

Oddly, I opted for the Altima Coupe OVER the 370Z. Not as concerned with price, more the drivability, comfort and overall package.

The 370 is sharp and obviously has more performance (strictly speaking), but the Altima interior is nicer IMHO and is much more livable day in and day out.

My new loaded 3.5 6sp is quick, comfortable, handles very well and is functional. Top it off with great looks and the Altima Coupe is actually more car for less loot... :P
