they are planning a major re-design for the 2011 model Altima coupe, or so the Nissan execs say... in any case, perhaps they will offer a true SE-R version then, but no official info about an SE-R version has been released

I would think it's too late in the first gens production life to offer a whole new package such as an SE-R.
