I scratched my coupe when i was driving. I hit a curb and i scratched my bottom door near rear tire. Is there anyway i can cover it up or how much would it cost to get it changed.

It all depends on how bad the scratch is and how deep. You may be able to fix it yourself with some cover-up paint and polish. When I get small scratches on my car (and a-holes always hitting it in the parking lot at my job) I used Scratch Doctor and my touch-up paint. You can visit an auto body or paint shop and they can give you the exact color match for your car. If you don't feel confident in doing it yourself, they can always give you an estimate.

If you aren't sure of a good place to go, in Toms River there is a place Coury's Auto Body. They are the cleanest, most professional body shop I've been to. They fixed my front end after some jerk made a left turn in front of me.

OLDBRIDGE FTL! Manalapan 2000 HS grad here..

Hey man you would be suprised what an orbital can fix... I had a tree branch fall on my hood, it was a scratch roughly a foot long in a straight line, and then it made a 90 degree angle and was scratched for another 5 inches or so... 5 minutes with an orbital and you cant find it.. on a BLACK CAR

google "random orbital"

Its a spinny thing that polishes the car, bring it to a local paintshop (they shouldnt charge you more than $50 by any means to buff that out)

I am not an expert, but that is more than a scratch bro. That is prob. gonna have to be sanded down, painted, blended, and cleared. Good Luck.

Just Google auto body pain shops in Monmouth County. If you can't find one, I'm telling you, Coury's Auto Body in Toms River is good. It's a bit of a drive, but it's worth the finished product. They are very clean and professional. It's right on RT 166, near Rt 37. It's easy to find.

For a stock side skirt, you could always call your insurance agent. Tell them you are looking for a certified auto body shop (one that they deal with). That auto body shop can order it for you and match the paint. They would also be able to give you an exact price, especially since they deal with your insurance provider.

Sorry to jack your thread, but what kind of wax did you use? I had a plastic trash can fall and hit my rear quarter panel and it left a scratch that was about 3 inches long. It only appeared to be plastic but i have tried a few types of wax and can not seem to get it out. I am pissed none the less!

For your black paint, try Meguiars NXT wax. If that doesn't fix it, try some rubbing compound.
