As I was driving home in the rain from the dealership after my new car purchase, I noticed a wet spot near Pillar A on the driver's side. I took it back to the dealer, and the service tech told me it was probably a blockage from the sunroof drain hose or soemthing of the sort. I go back today to pick it up and they tell me they also found something else that is busted and leaking water. I forget exactly what it was, but something about the "evaporation" something... not entirely sure, as I don't know much about cars. I will know the exact problem tomorrow. But they told me this has been happening on a good number of the new coupes they've sold. Is this true or are is this just dealer talk? And just how harmful/damaging are these problems?

I'm sorry to hear about your problems. I haven't experienced anything like that. If this was happening to a "good number" of Coupes we would have heard about it already.

There wasn't any moisture near the sunroof or any where else on the headliner? Just the pillar? If it was a leak concerning the sunroof I would think you might have moisture within the headliner as well.

Good luck. Keep us up to date.

Yea, there was moisture at the point where teh headliner meets just above the driver's seat window. The service tech told me it was pretty soaked on teh carpet too b/c it had been raining all night. Just picked it up today, and so far so good. I will let you know if there are any more problems. i hope i never have to see the service tech again until my first oil change.
