Hello all! I have charcoal leather seats in my coupe and I recently discovered that when I drive over bumps or around corners, my passenger seat makes a slight squeaky noise. This is when it's leaned back a little. When I lean it forward to a more standard position, the sound goes away when driving. Has anyone experienced this? If so, did you take it into the shop?

Cars are going to have squeaks, especially after you have driven the car a little bit and things have loosened up a tad. Believe me, things like that bother me too. Try to find the source of the problem by having a friend in the car (put them in the back seat or something). It would be a hassle for you to not have your car for a day so they can find a squeak. See if you can pinpoint it yourself.

Also, does it sound like the seat hardware is squeaking or is it possibly the leather? If it's the leather, try some good quality cleaner & conditioner. It works on squeaky leather jackets.

Try repositioning the selt belt buckle clip thing. It can rub the door surround and make a noise. Hope that works, if not take it to the dealer. You have 12 months 12,000 miles on adjustments.
