Hey guys I thought I would bring this up. I searched but I didn't find anything. I was reading on the 350z forums not to long ago about someone getting paddle shifters installed in their Z. Seems like a cool idea, I just didn't know what everyone's opinions were.

I have been thinking about this for a while too. I think it can be done. I think I can wire the input signal from a constant 12v source, to the paddle, the paddle switches the power to the particular "up/down" switch in the shift console, which is now the new signal to change gears that direction.

on the 2009 Nissan Maxima it has paddle shifters and its a CVT also. plus i think the 09 Maxima can shift from the paddle shifters OR manual mode like we have so it should be possible........ seems harder to get paddle shifters on a Z lol

I love manual mode -- call me old fashioned... hah!Paddle shifters just seem like wayyy too much for anything but a high end racecar...

When I see them in everyday drivers I wanna puke and laugh all at once-- not a good feeling.. don't recommend it

Not a fan of Paddle Shifters. When I took the '09 Maxima I didn't try it/just used the Shifter.

I never could drive with two hands, which is probably why. I also tried it on my Dad's '08 Rogue SL/couldn't.

I'm sure the '09's will have them.

so i guess blake and warner are the only ones allowed to have paddle shifters lol i dunno, 95% of my driving the car just stays in "D". theres only 2 times i actually use manual mode and thats when stopping at a light (down shifting) and just to show off my exhaust in places with the speed limit up to 35 MPH. "D" is quicker then manual mode so to me getting paddle shifters is pretty much just for bragging rights lol

I went to the BMW dealer this morning with my best friend and I test drove the new 328i hardtop convertible and it had the paddle shifters. I tried them, but ended up just going to the sportronic shifter knob due to the fact that my hands are too tiny to reach the paddles in a way that would justify being able to use them. I found them very uncomfortable for me if I wanted to try to use them.

The 328i was beautiful though. However,I think I have her talked into getting the 335i with the 300hp/300ft tq! HEHEHE, I know, Im a bad bad influence on her. lol.

Paddle shifters to me are just ................eh!

If the coupe came with them you guys would be raving about them

Nothing wrong with paddle shifters and they are fun to play around with as well.

300hp and like another 100+ hp from just doing a tune and exhaust. those things are FAST and easy to get tons of power out of. waaaaaaaaay better then the G37 in my opinion (a lot of talk about them VS the G37). one of my friends has the 328i coupe and let me drive it. the paddle shifters were aight after i found out how to use them lol both paddle shifters can shift up or down instead of like the Maxima how one shifts up and one shifts down
