Consider it "officially official". I don't believe anything until I hear it from the horse's mouthYoungCoupe wrote:I thought it was confirmed a long time ago LOL.
Having another sub Z level coupe in line to take over for the Altima Coupe is the only way this makes sense to me. BTW I may be the only one, but I liked the looks of the Esflow concept.MetallicSlate wrote:http://blog.autoshopper.com/articles/38 ... This-Year/
Fingers crossed it's not a FWD CR-Z competitor.
You're not the only one, the Esflow looks awesome.BamaCoupe wrote:Having another sub Z level coupe in line to take over for the Altima Coupe is the only way this makes sense to me. I just hope it's not the "Mini Z" concept that we seen a year ago. It looks like a Juke and a Renault Laguna hooked up.XenonSE-R wrote:The only reason I'm not disappointed by this news is because of the looming hope that the Tokyo Motor Show will have a BRZ-fighter concept that will slot in where the AC was.
Don't disappoint me Nissan.
Availability of body parts would be the main concern since the coupe is basically identical to the sedan mechanically.SHIFT_COUPE wrote:Resale value of a discontinued car will vary depending on the make and model. Some folks believe that a discontinued car will fetch less money when sold due to the fear of a waning availability of parts. In the case of the Altima Coupe I wouldn't worry too much about it. The vehicle is still relatively new.
Additionally, the "rarity" of a discontinued car in our case is not applicable. The AC will not turn into a collectors car but it may be of interest for enthusiasts much further down the road. Who knows.
Don't rush out and sell your car for fear of a drop in price.
Sadly the only new owners for AC's on NICO that we will get are the remaining 2013's and the folks that buy one used
Most all cars are on a five or six year cycle, so availability of body parts rather the car is discontinued or redesigned I don't see it being any different. OE parts will be around for a while.AED wrote:Availability of body parts would be the main concern since the coupe is basically identical to the sedan mechanically.SHIFT_COUPE wrote:Resale value of a discontinued car will vary depending on the make and model. I KNOW someone posted a detailed PDF of the built figures...like 3 years ago. It was a complete breakdown tree and had X% were 2.5 vs 3.5, and Y% of the 2.5s were Black and all of that...stevewaclo wrote:Anyone have any idea of the number of Coupes built to date?
I've searched in the past but none of the sources separated Coupe #'s out of total Altima figures.
I remember now, it was back when we were all speculating on the Coupe's future and we thought build numbers would tell the tale.

Can't find it for the life of me...but that is how I found this post, haha.
