Altima Coupe larger tires?

I have my Altima Coupe 3.5 SE Premium black for a few days now.

One of the weak point is the relatively narrown factory tire, only 215 mm wide.

I went to the tire store today, and consider getting some 20 inch rims, but and put on 245/35VR20 but I am afraid that would just be too much weight and will make for a harsh ride.

I consider getting 18 inch rims, but that's only 1 inch larger than stock so what 's the point?

The OEM rims are 17 x 7.5 inch so they are nice and wide and can accept a wider tire.

anyone had experience with 245/50VR17 or 235/50VR17..both of them are about the same height as the stock 215/55VR17... I think either would make it look way better.

i have 20 inch rims on my coupe, i do not recommend it because the ride is rougher, and i have 255's on the rear from the dealer. do not do it.
