Altima Coupe glove box not right

Well, after driving my new 3.5SE Black Coupe for a couple of week, I notice that there is a dull dimple on the glove box door. I went back to the dealer and "No problem....we'll order a new glove box door for you"..

Waited I did for another couple of weeks.....the dealer put the new glove box door on. Looks fine initially, but is missing the door lock.

After I got home, I notice the mechanic scratched the new glove box door during installation. The dealer order me another glove box door.

So, I spend Friday wasting half the day for that.

Is the soft plastic of the dash on these cars really easy to scratch?

Seems like quite the ordeal for a glove box. You pay good money for a car that should be without flaws but they do happen.

Mine wouldn't close properly at one point and after playing with it a little to get it to close, it fell off completely!

Managed to insert it back on the tracks and hasn't come off since but then again I don't open it often. But I agree with your assessment...I find the entire box flimsy.

I would like to say it's an isolated incident, but a couple of complaints? My glove box door is silky in operation on opening and closing. It has a nice solid closure. And it's a great size( you can hardly reach to the back of it from drivers seat). Hope you get it taken care of.
