Whats the downside to having a kit that plugs right into the cigarette lighter or 12 volt outlet (i.e. no wiring of any sort)? I'm not really big on doing anything too difficult and possibly voiding my warranty on the car. I haven't really seen a post like this, but send me there if you happen to find it. I've seen posts about lighting, etc. but nothing about the footwell led that literally just plugs and play. So my question is, what's so bad about this method? Why do you guys do it the hard way and wire everything up? Is there a DIY for this? I want it to come on when I open my doors because I already have blue puddle lights and I thought it'll look neat. If there's any info that I'm missing out on please inform me and I'll try my best to include everything. Any input and help will be greatly appreciated, Thanks guys.
