I've noticed it seems common that the 2.5 liter (4 cyl) engine usually respond as being louder with a performance intake. I'm thinking its because the 4cyl has more aggressive valve timing then the six.

Well I4's are naturally louder than V6's to begine with. Longer strokes and all.

Sounds even better in person, believe me. I absolutely love the sound! After you put a couple hundred miles of break-in, it's almost identical to a G and Z, no joke! Well, at least on the VQ it is. Never heard what it sounded like on the 2.5 in person.

hey eric, i know its kind of a big favor to ask, but i was wondering if you can record a more current, and up to date vid of your injen intake, i love the sound from your other clips, but maybe its just me, but they dont sound like a z or g yet. or maybe its just the sound on the recording? thanks in advance

Yeah, I shot those vids about 10 minutes after I installed it. The sound changed over the next couple of weeks, for the better of course. Don't know if the sound will come through on video, but I'll try this weekend. You might have to remind me come Friday though

You can, but the intake in question doesn't fit properly on the 6mt. If you were creative, you could fairly easily fabricate something to make it fit, but better to wait until they've made the modification.

got mine installed last nite, couldn't wait hehe, took me almost an hr, that's cuz i'm a total noob and the instruction seems to be for the sedan so things looked a bit differ. I had to make sure. It sounded niceeeeee revving to 4K RPM. Today it rained dogs and cats in OC so I was crawling on the freeway. I'm gonna be so tempted to drive in the manual mode just to bring the RPMs up above 2K to hear that sound now. There goes my MPGs ..... lol
