Well I was just planning on making one myself following guides I found on this forum, and other places:LongBeachCoupe wrote:moreover.. who makes fiberglass enclosures and how much does that run?
Standard mdf boxes. 3/4" inch to be exact. but that part is a given. What kind of subwoofer are you running? Ill give you some specs, a cut sheet and a sketch up if you let me know the model. And if you wanna do it yourself theres plenty of sites to input your specs and calculate.tarek wrote:vballer22, are you drawing up plans for fiberglass enclosures too, or just standard MDF boxes?
Do you by chance have any more specs for it? I remember thats a pretty old sub and they dont make em anymore. If you want a sealed box though it shouldn't matter.mikegtr06 wrote:i am running a 12" jbl p1220d2 it has a depth of 6 in and needs 1 cu ft in a sealed box. i know that its kinda big for the car but i love it and i cant listen to anything else since i heard this one... i just mostly want something that is going to fit in the car nicely and not take up too much cargo space in the little trunk in the a/c. i dont really want to do fiberglass because im scared something will go wrong... any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
trhe ebay box is the only one built and sold for the A/C... IMO, your best bet is to get a custom box built with the proper specs for your subs! Don't short change the box just to save a few dollars!unique2.5 wrote:yeah i have people/shops in the area that can custom build something for me, but i was looking for boxes that would fit the ac that are already made and i can just buy online
same question. anyone know if .62 cubic feet is enough for the 10" type r?unique2.5 wrote:do you think the one on ebay would do for alpine type r's?... because the one on ebay is .62 cubic feet
I have the ebay box (2 10" alpine type R) and it works awesome. The guy that makes them actually lives about an hour south of me so he let me save on shipping and come pick it up direct from him. Great guy, he is actually here on the forums but he hangs out in the G35 section.ja105ny wrote:

Hey man you still got those plans? If you do can you share them with me... for the 2 - 10's and the 2 - 12'svballer22 wrote:Still need info on boxes? Im drawing up some plans for simple boxes that fit in the a/c that can be free for nico members. these boxes fit snugly in the trunk or backseat and hold either 1 10", 2 10", 1 12", or 2 12"s. ported or sealed just give me the subwoofer specs and ill draw it up. only minimal woodworking experience needed.
