Since I was painting my calipers the last few days I was thinking about a front brake pad replacement... i know i know.. i only have about 15,000 miles on my AC but hey i dont mind spending $40 -100 for a set of front pads.... just curious if anyone has upgraded/replaced their brake pads with anything worth while from autozone, advanceautoparts or pepboys? or is there a better place to buy pads from?

and would the replacement or upgrade brake pads be as simple as i think? just unbolting the caliper and unlocking the pad springs and just removing stock pads and replacing them??

any feedback would be much appreciated.

I have wanted to just to go to something that produces less brake dust than the OEM's, but have not bit the bullet yet. Check out EBC REd Stuff Brake Pads, that is what I was going to go with.

i replaced my stock pads with hawks

HP Plus in the front (track pads)HPS in the rear (street pads)

they produce way more dust than OEM, but i bought them for performance. i also have Rotora X-Drilled/Slotted rotors up front.
