Ok, I've been doing alot of research on the Altima coupe for a while now. My dad has been bringing home bits and pieces of information for me from Nissan R&D. I decided to test drive one while on leave this week and after test driving I only had one thought, THIS THING NEEDS FORCED INDUCTION!

The 2.5 comes with a QR25DE motor, which correct me if I'm wrong comes from the 2001-2005? Sentra SE-R. Unfortunately I did not get to test drive the 3.5, but I can only assume it's a VQ35DE? From the look of the engine bay, it's going to be hard squeezing in any sort of turbo, but I do believe it's possible. A more plausible setup would be a supercharger similar to the Jackson Racing setups.

Is there anyone who could give me more info on the specs of these motors? I plan on doing more research while I'm overseas so that when I return and can buy one and go. Also, is there anyone with any interest in a setup? I have contacted a few companies about a possible forced induction kit for the car. Just need to see if I can get enough support to get someone to take action.

Thanks and I appreciate everyones help.

I have a friend that owns a shop in Howell, MI. He has already produced a supercharger that puts out roughly 305whp on 8psi with the SE-R SpecV. I will be getting ahold of him to see if he can help me with fabrication. If anyone has any interest, feel free to stop by either http://www.michigannissans.com or http://www.revolutionautoworks.net

Tell them SHiFT sent you.

News from Kevin at Rev Auto.

"I think its definitly posible to add thesupercharger. I would have to look under the engine bay more closely todetermine what would need to be changed if anything. If its not much, then Ithink there might be worth producing. The intercooler piping and spacing onthe bracket is about the only thing I can see (at this point) needing to bechanged."

Looking good so far. I'm going to try and coordinate a way for him to snag some time with a coupe and get his measurements. Things are definitely looking up.
