Hey all,

repo here posting from Cold_Zero's computer.

We're trying to take the front rotors off of the '02 Altima and they will not come off. We have taken the calipers and the large nut off of the spindle but the damned rotors won't come off. What's the trick to this? Anything out of the ordinary?

Help. Quick. Please. Thanks!

sorry guys was installing an amp in my car took most of the day. because i did it right. I realize the shops probably closed by now sorry again. They are free floating rotors if they are stuck on its due to rust. try hitting the back of the rotors with a plastic hammer. they should pop right off. you dont need to take the axel nuts off.

Cool. Thanks NISTECH! That could be your superhero name.

I've gotten myself into trouble with breaking stuff by forcing it. I told CZ that my next solution involved a sledgehammer, so we had better ask the question. I knew it was just a matter of greater force.

Bud I dont know what it is off the top of my head but by now I am sure you have got it back together. to be honest I almost never torque those. I am a flat rate tech torque wrenchs only come into play with internal engine parts. everything else is impact gun or wrench.

Would these two 14mm bolts keep the rotor from coming off?

no cause if you took the 22mm bolts from the carrier out and slid it off the rotor those 14 mm bolts went with it. cause you would still have those assembled in the caliper assembly.

the 32mm axel nut is 172 to 228 ft Lbs.
