On my Versa when you press the call button on the steering wheel to make a call on the bluetooth system you can give a command with the name if stored in the phonebook and proceed with the call.

On my wife's new Altima when you press the call button the voice comes on and says "after the beep say a command or help". I wonder why these two or different. It is just a small anoyance but I am wondering if everybodys does the same.

That probably means that you do not have the phone in sync with the car bluetooth yet or no programmed numbers.

Mine justs beeps and on the radio says "Listening" and depending on what you say, may reply command or help

The phone is synced up and I have 34 names and 48 numbers in the cars's bluetooth phonebook. I just went out and checked it again and when you first click the call button it only replys "say a command or ask for help."

I guess to bypass this annoyance I will just dial with the phone's quick dial and then hang up and let the cars bluetooth complete the call.

To by pass her talking, you have to go into your navigation settings and turn off the voice command instructions. To use your phonebook, after pressing the button, say "phonebook" then the person's name you have as the voice tag. It should start calling.

For all technical assistance, check out your owners manual, or your navigation manual

I don't have navi and it doesn't give you the chance to say anything before the voice makes it statement about making a command or asking for help then you can respond after the beep and only after the beep.

I always read the entire manual as soon as I get home with the new car.

Hmmm, when I press the button, it beeps and then says listening on the radio screen, then it waits for me. That is odd. maybe the is a problem with its program.

Noticed the following phrase in the manual:

You can use the "phone/send button" to skip through system feedback".

I now click the phone/send button twice and it skips the "say a command" blurb and goes to "listening" and I can say the person I want to call. This is not like my Versa but will have to do.

I wondered why I wasn't getting email notifications on topics I posted in.

This old Acer I use only has about a 12" screen and the "Options list was out of my viewing area. I take it you have to select this option every time you post and there is no way to have any topic you post to automatically reply with email notification.

Is there a way other than going in an "editing" my posts to have this notification turned on for my past post?

My bluetooth problem is even weird..

It seems to work fine when i'm making a call , but when i recieve a call while driving and use the bluetooth answering button thats available on the sterring wheel to answer the call it hangs up my whole system and then i cant switch between Cd or radio or anything.I've to restart the car in order to restart the system and its doing it everytime now whenever i get a call ..Guess i gotta take it back to the dealer...
